Worst Lies In The Bible
"You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." John 8:44
Lying is one of those things that is pervasive in our society. It is a habit that is learned at an early age by children often used in an attempt to escape the consequences of their actions because they know that punishment is coming. But there are many adults who will outright lie or tell half truths because they too are looking to avoid consequences, or gain benefits by the lies that they tell.
Scripture has many examples of the lies that are told, often by God's people, and there are many lessons we can learn from their mistakes.
