Ecclesiastes 1:2 "Vanity of vanities," says the preacher; "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity."

You would think that for a man who had all the wisdom, and the resources to do anything and everything that we read about Solomon doing as he talks about in this book, that the opening statement would be filled with much more joy and contentment. Yet, he opens up to declare that everything is empty, it's essentially worthless.

while this might seem depressing at first glance, in reality it can be viewed as knowledge that can set you free from the burdens that so many entangle themselves in, in this life.
