Where do your children get their everyday core values?  From their friends at school?  From movies they see?  From television?  Is that what you really want?

Everyone's talking today about "family values," but since the family was created by God, doesn't it make sense to find out all that God has to say about the important things in life-- and in the life to come?

  • "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right." (Ephesians 6:1)
  • "My son, hear the instruction of your father, & do not forsake the law of your mother." (Proverbs 1:8)
  • "My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor detest His correction. For whom He loves He corrects." (Proverbs 3:11-12)
  • "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. (Jesus speaking in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:38-39)
  • "He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." (God speaking in Revelation 21:7-8)

Sometimes God's words are gentle-- sometimes they seem harsh.  But God wants what is best for us, our family members and our children.  At Mountain View, we don't teach church doctrine-- we teach God's word, and we teach our children and our members how to put it into practice, with solid practical lessons devoted to following God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

If you're looking for "family values," what better place to get them from the One who created values and from His only begotten Son-- Jesus Christ?
