Don't Forget Where You Came From

"For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith." Romans 12:3
 
Those who are newly converted are not always going to act as we want them to, and our expectations for them are often more lofty than what is reasonable. There is a reason that in scripture, new Christians are called babes. We need to remember that we too once were babes in Christ and probably said and did some foolish things, and maturity will simply take time and patience.
 
God's people need to take this to heart, and have a great deal more humility when it comes to remembering that we too are sinners, bought by the precious blood of Christ.
